How to Calibrate Irradiance, Temperature, and Humidity ?

When it comes to the precise calibration of irradiation intensity, the Q-LAB CR10 and CR20 calibration radiometers are highly specialized tools designed specifically for this purpose. These instruments ensure that the levels of radiation in testing environments are accurately measured, which is critical for various applications in materials testing and quality control. On the other hand, for temperature calibration, the CT202 calibration thermometers are the go-to choice, providing reliable and accurate temperature readings essential for maintaining consistency in testing conditions.

However, if you require a solution that can simultaneously calibrate both irradiation intensity and temperature within a test chamber, the combined cost of acquiring both the Q-LAB CR10/CR20 radiometers and the CT202 thermometer can be quite high. This dual requirement for calibration can lead to increased expenses and complexity in managing multiple instruments.

An economical and efficient alternative is to consider the calibrator offered by Wewon Environmental Chambers Co., Ltd. This advanced calibrator is uniquely capable of addressing both temperature and irradiation intensity calibration needs within a single unit. Moreover, with the addition of a humidity sensor, the Wewon calibrator can also perform humidity calibration, making it a versatile and comprehensive solution for environmental testing.

Steps Operation Instructions|How to Calibrate Irradiance, Temperature, and Humidity Using a Calibrator ? Create calibration task
Step1 One end of the “USB cable” is connected to the “calibration computer”, and the other end is connected to the “calibrator”.
Step2 One end of the “Ethernet cable” is connected to the “calibration computer”, and the other end is connected to the “test chamber”.
Step3 One end of the “temperature and irradiance sensor” is connected to the “calibrator”, and the other end is installed on the “test chamber”.
Step3 Power on the “calibration computer” and then “Install USB Driver and Calibration Software”. (If already installed, just power on.)
Step4 Power on the “Test chamber”, then “Set communication parameters”, and restart. (If already set, just power on.)
Step5 Start the “calibration software”, then select “Create calibration task” or “Open calibration task” in the upper left menu. The interface is shown in the figure above.
Click the “Gear” icon on the right side of the “test chamber/calibrator” column to enter the “test chamber/calibrator connection parameters” screen to set the communication parameters and connect.
Note: If the connection parameters have been set correctly, the settings can be ignored and the calibration software will automatically connect.
Step6 On the “test chamber”, select the test mode as “Fixed Value”.
Set the calibration point (for example, set the temperature to 60.00℃ and set the irradiance to 0.76W/m2).
Click the “Run” button to start the test.
After waiting for the temperature and irradiance to stabilize, on the “Calibration Software”, click the “Calibrate” button behind the calibration object to complete the calibration.
For example, to calibrate the blackboard temperature, click the “Calibrate” button behind it.
The calibration data will be automatically filled in the “Calibration Data Table” under the “Calibration Software”.
Step7 If necessary, You can click directly on the items in the Calibration Data Table to manually adjust the values.

The market currently offers very few calibrators with such a broad range of capabilities. Wewon Environmental Chambers Co., Ltd. stands out by providing a powerful, all-in-one calibrator that reduces the need for multiple devices and minimizes overall costs. The Wewon calibrator offers a cost-effective, multifunctional alternative. This single device addresses multiple calibration requirements, including temperature, irradiation intensity, and humidity, making it an ideal choice for a streamlined and efficient testing process.

While specialized instruments like the Q-LAB CR10/CR20 radiometers and CT202 thermometer are excellent for their respective calibration tasks, By opting for Wewon’s calibrator, you gain access to a sophisticated tool that meets multiple calibration needs, ensuring accurate and reliable results across various environmental conditions. This multifunctional approach not only simplifies the calibration process but also enhances the efficiency of testing procedures.

Calibrator for Irradiance Temperature Humidity Calibration|In order to obtain highly reliable test results, It is necessary to use standard instruments regularly to ensure that the temperature and irradiance of the test chamber have qualified accuracy. You can entrust authoritative metrology institutions, such as China Radio and Television Group, Shenzhen Institute of Metrology, South China Institute of Metrology, etc. to measure the temperature and irradiance of the test chamber on site. Their service prices are usually expensive and the appointment time usually takes 1 week. Of course, You can also use the calibrator provided by Wewon Environmental Chambers Co., Ltd. to complete this work. Read more…

How to Use the Calibration Software from Your Computer ?|In order to calibrate a test chamber, We usually need to configure the calibrator first. For example, When calibrating a UV Accelerated Weather Tester/UV test chamber, Then we need to install a blackboard temperature sensor (there are multiple types to choose from) and an irradiance sensor (there are multiple types to choose from) for the calibrator, and the corresponding sensor type needs to be selected on the calibration software. In addition, In order to connect the calibration software, calibrator, and test chamber into an automatic calibration system, communication parameters need to be set. Read more…
