How to Use the Calibration Software ?

In order to calibrate a test chamber, We usually need to configure the calibrator first. For example, When calibrating a UV Accelerated Weather Tester/UV test chamber, Then we need to install a blackboard temperature sensor (there are multiple types to choose from) and an irradiance sensor (there are multiple types to choose from) for the calibrator, and the corresponding sensor type needs to be selected on the calibration software. In addition, In order to connect the calibration software, calibrator, and test chamber into an automatic calibration system, communication parameters need to be set. YouTube Video|Instructions and Guidance for Calibrate Irradiance Temperature and Humidity.

After you set these data, The calibration software will save them to the calibration task, So that you can directly open the calibration task and use these parameters in the future without having to set them repeatedly. This will be very useful when you often need to calibrate multiple types of experimental chambers. When you “create a new calibration task”, You create a new calibration task to save these parameters and specify a storage location for them. When you “open a calibration task”, You find a previously configured calibration task and use it.

Double-click the “Calibrator.exe” calibration software to enter the “Laboratory Calibration Center” interface, as shown below. 1. Laboratory Calibration Center
Laboratory Calibration Center - calibration software
① Laboratory Calibration Center operation menu, click to pop up the following menu items:
New Calibration Task: Click to pop up a dialog box for selecting the save directory for the new calibration task.
Open Calibration Task: Click to pop up a dialog box for selecting the calibration task to be opened (the name of the calibration task is calibration.task).
Set System Parameters: Click to pop up the system parameter setting interface for selecting the “display language” as Chinese or English.
② Click to close the application.
Click “New Calibration Task” or “Open Calibration Task” in the “Laboratory Calibration Center” operation menu to create or open a calibration task and display the following calibration main interface. 2. Calibration Main Interface
Calibration Main Interface
① “Calibration Main Interface” operation menu, Click to pop up the following menu items:
Connect to Calibrator: Click to pop up the calibrator communication setting interface.
Connect to Test Chamber: Click to pop up the test chamber communication setting interface.
Allow/Disable Calibration Operation: Click to switch between “Allow calibration operation” and “Disable calibration operation”.
Close Calibration Task: Close the “Calibration Main Interface” and end the calibration task.
② Click to go full screen on the “Calibration Main Interface”, and click again to exit full screen.
③ Test chamber measurement value display panel. Clicking the calibration button “Calibrate” is allowed only after the calibration operation is allowed.
This button is used to calibrate the measurement value of this path. Clicking it will automatically calculate the calibration data and display these calibration data in ⑤ to facilitate manual fine-tuning by the user.
④ The calibrator measurement value display panel.
Click “Settings” to enter the calibrator settings interface.
⑤ The test chamber calibration data display panel.
Click “Up” and “Down” to turn the pages up and down to view the calibration data corresponding to all the measurement values of the test chamber.
Only after the calibration operation is allowed, the calibration data can be edited to provide manual fine calibration function.
Click the “Calibrator” setting button to enter the “Calibrator Setting Interface”. 3. Calibrator Setting Interface
This interface is used to set the following parameters of the calibrator measurement channel: input type, input filter, and calibration data.
Note: When the user sends the calibrator to the measurement center for measurement, this page can be used to calibrate the calibrator to be consistent with the standard measurement value.
Calibrator Setting Interface
① Configuration parameters of calibrator input channel 1.
● Temperature type: You can choose “air temperature”, “blackboard temperature”, “black mark temperature”, “white board temperature”. It must be consistent with the sensor type connected to the calibrator. For example, if the calibrator INPUT2 is connected to a blackboard temperature sensor, select blackboard temperature here.
● Temperature filter: Filter the temperature measurement value. The larger the value, the more stable the measurement value, but the slower the response speed.
● Temperature measurement: Display the current measurement value of the temperature sensor.
② Configuration parameters of calibrator input channel 2.
● Irradiance type: You can choose “254nm”, “313nm”, “340nm”, “351nm”, “290~400nm”, “290~800nm”, “290~3000nm”. It must be consistent with the sensor type connected to the calibrator. For example, if the calibrator INPUT1 is connected to a 340nm irradiance sensor, select 340nm here.
● Irradiance filter: Filter the irradiance measurement value. The larger the value, the more stable the measurement value, but the slower the response speed.
● Irradiance measurement: Display the current measurement value of the irradiance sensor.
③ Click the “Main Interface” button to return to the “Calibration Main Interface”.
Only after the calibration operation is allowed, the calibration buttons “Calibrate Temperature” and “Calibrate Irradiance” are allowed to be clicked.
Clicking “Calibrate Temperature” will calibrate the temperature of the calibrator. The software will automatically calculate the calibration data and display these calibration data in ④ to facilitate manual fine-tuning by the user.
Clicking “Calibrate Irradiance” will calibrate the irradiance of the calibrator. The software will automatically calculate the calibration data and display these calibration data in ⑤ to facilitate manual fine-tuning by the user.
④ The temperature calibration parameter display panel displays the calibration data of the currently selected sensor.
⑤ The irradiance calibration parameter display panel displays the calibration data of the currently selected sensor.

Calibrator for Irradiance Temperature Humidity Calibration|In order to obtain highly reliable test results, It is necessary to use standard instruments regularly to ensure that the temperature and irradiance of the test chamber have qualified accuracy. You can entrust authoritative metrology institutions, such as China Radio and Television Group, Shenzhen Institute of Metrology, South China Institute of Metrology, etc. to measure the temperature and irradiance of the test chamber on site. Their service prices are usually expensive and the appointment time usually takes 1 week. Of course, You can also use the calibrator provided by Wewon Environmental Chambers Co., Ltd. to complete this work. Read more…

How to Calibrate Irradiance, Temperature , and Humidity ?|When it comes to the precise calibration of irradiation intensity, the Q-LAB CR10 and CR20 calibration radiometers are highly specialized tools designed specifically for this purpose. These instruments ensure that the levels of radiation in testing environments are accurately measured, which is critical for various applications in materials testing and quality control. On the other hand, for temperature calibration, the CT202 calibration thermometers are the go-to choice, providing reliable and accurate temperature readings essential for maintaining consistency in testing conditions.
