Regularly check the oil condition and replace it promptly if deteriorated to ensure the proper functioning of the vacuum pump. Check the oil level regularly and adjust it to meet the requirements. The oil level should be at the center of the oil mark when the vacuum pump is running. Maintenance for Industrial Convection Oven
The oil change interval should be determined by considering the actual operating conditions and performance requirements. For a new vacuum pump used for clean and dry gas extraction, it is recommended to change the oil after approximately 100 hours of operation. The oil change interval can be appropriately extended once there is no visible black metallic powder in the oil.
Generally, the vacuum pump should be overhauled after 2000 hours of operation. Check the aging condition of the sealing components and inspect the exhaust valve for cracks. Clean any deposits on the valve and valve seat. Clean the internal parts of the vacuum pump, such as the rotor, vanes, and springs, preferably using gasoline and dry them. Rubber parts can be wiped dry with a cloth after cleaning. Be careful not to damage the parts during the cleaning and assembly process.
After reassembly, perform a trial run. It is recommended to run the vacuum pump for 2 hours without load and change the oil twice. Some volatile substances may remain in the vacuum pump after cleaning, and the pump should be operated normally before being put into regular operation.
Check for any looseness at the connections and fittings of the vacuum pump pipeline. Rotate the vacuum pump by hand to verify its flexibility. Activate the motor and check the rotation direction.
Once the vacuum pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet of the system gradually, while monitoring the motor load. Control the flow and head of the vacuum pump within the range specified on the nameplate to ensure optimum efficiency and energy-saving.
10. The bearing temperature of the vacuum pump should not exceed 35°C above the ambient temperature, with a maximum temperature of 80°C. If any abnormal noise is detected, stop the vacuum pump immediately and investigate the cause.
When stopping the vacuum pump, close the gate valve and pressure gauge first, and then stop the motor. Within the first month of operation, change the lubricating oil after every 100 hours. Afterward, change the oil every 500 hours.
Regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure normal dripping conditions in the packing chamber (dripping is recommended). Periodically check for wear in the shaft sleeve and replace it promptly if significant wear is observed.
In winter, after the vacuum pump is shut down, open the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body to remove any remaining medium and prevent freezing damage.If the vacuum pump is not used for an extended period, disassemble the pump, dry it, apply grease to the rotating parts and connections, and store it properly.
